In 2009 Vermont will be celebrating the 400th anniversary of French explorer Samuel de Champlain's travel to the Lake Champlain region of Vermont in 1609. Scores of people from around the state and beyond will be taking part in a wide range of events, arts and cultural offerings, educational workshops and spectacular celebrations marking this historic moment in our lifetime. Vermont Life, on behalf of the Vermont Quadricentennial Commission, has produced an exciting line of official Quadricentennial products to commemorate this historic event. |
